Hello there, and welcome to this week’s #PoCoLo - a relaxed, friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any blog post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked, comment and share some of that love.

Please don’t link up posts which are older as they will be removed, and if you see older posts are linked then please don’t feel that it’s necessary to comment on those. If you were here last week it was great to have you along, if you’re new here we’re pleased you’ve joined us.

We had a couple of days in Devon last week, and thankfully we continued to have nice weather. As ever in our quest to avoid motorway service stations wherever possible we made use of our National Trust membership stopping at Croome in Worcestershire both on the way down and on the way back.

It’s a fabulous place and in our two relatively short stops we managed to visit the cafe (twice), the RAF museum and head off in walks in opposite directions around the parkland to make sure we saw as much as possible. We didn’t make it into the house, or coincide our visit so that the walled gardens were open, but I’m sure we’ll be back.

And sadly, we didn’t have time to make proper use of these deck chairs either - so we’ll have to go back!

We’ve another bank holiday here in the UK this weekend, so the link party will stay open for an extra day closing at 11pm on Monday.

The warmer weather has been great, and don’t get me wrong, but boy isn’t it hot? As someone who’s body ‘runs warm’ most of the time I’ve been feeling it. It’s a consequence of my overactive thyroid but it seems to be more than normal in this warm spell, though thankfully none of the other signs of a misbehaving thyroid have appeared alongside it. I think I know why I’m feeling so warm, but it’s unlikely to be a proven scientific fact, so I’ll keep it to myself!

One thing I am enjoying though in this heat is iced coffees, which is odd as I’m not a big coffee drinker at all. It’s unusual for me to have one coffee a week, let alone a day usually - though this isn’t my theory on why I’m overheating, but I suspect there’s a link here too.

Anyway, I hope you’ve had some good weather too and have been able to enjoy it, coffee or not, hot or cold!

Last week I had a trip down to London to see the preview of the new exhibition at the British Library, titled Unearthed, The Power of Gardening, which is on until 10 August. It’s a great exhibition and I really enjoyed a gentle peruse of all the exhibits, and as ever I took way too many photos which makes my blog post (coming early next week) that bit harder!

But it struck me while I was waiting for MOH to arrive in London and enjoying some of the glorious weather at the same time, I don’t think I’ve ever been into the British Library before. And that’s despite living in London for all bar two years of my life - it’s a great building, and there’s free exhibitions too, so if you’re close by then do pop in. The courtyard at the front is a great place, especially on a sunny day, and has the most magical view of the hotel above St Pancras station.

What a view!
